Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic technique that is used to treat trauma and to empower people by bringing out their strengths.

This natural technique employs REM (rapid eye movement) in a waking state. EMDR also uses this body process to release negative beliefs and trauma, allowing the person to connect with their own natural wisdom.

It was originally researched on Vietnam Vets for post traumatic stress disorder. It has now become the treatment of choice for that disorder as well as being used in executive coaching and performance enhancement.

EMDR Applications

As a certified EMDR therapist, Dr. Green has used the technique to treat trauma, incest/abuse/victim recovery, phobias (public speaking, throwing up, etc.), marital therapy, self confidence/self esteem issues, sexual dysfunction, shame, self loathing, anxiety, anger/rage issues, addiction, and depression.
